Do licensed dealers still hand out signed copies of FFL's for firearms transfers?

In my area no, some will fax a copy to the other FFL involved if requested/required for a transfer.

I text or email mine when buying and send a printed one when selling.

I try to go FFL to FFL.....but I will give my FFL because anything bought with it has to come back to me if the other FFL or seller is legal
Sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission...

Every dealership I work with asks me to FAX or email a scan. Not one of them asks for an inked copy. These days I can't imagine the wait time for snail mail to deliver one.
There are many times a quick email or phone call to a company has me set up as a dealer within minutes of emailing a scan and I place an order minutes later.
If I am shipping to an FFL, I always include a copy but not "inked" as the old school version used to be. If they are shipping to me, I ask for a copy. If I am receiving from an individual, I ask for a copy of their ID.
If an individual is sending something to me, I email a scan of my FFL so they can include it in the box and see that I am legitimate though the law does not require me or them to put a copy in the box.

It just saves me from calling or stopping down for another form, and then another...etc.

Do licensed dealers still hand out signed copies of FFL's for firearms transfers? Not if they have any sense... BATFE does not want FFL copies to be given to non-FFLs, period. The system is designed for non-FFLs to verify the license through the EZ Check system. The address on the FFL (as found on EZ Check) is the only place you are allowed to send a firearm. Specifically, on non-FFL to FFL transfers there is no FFL copy to put in the shipping box. Sending a copy of a drivers license to a dealer is beyond absurd. How do they verify it at distance? How does it show anything to the FFL? It could be anybody's! And it is not going to be kept by any FFL with any sense.

Sitka is right. the whole point of the ATF Online EZ check system is to eliminate the need for signed copys of FFLs going to non-FFL sellers.
many or most FFLs will provide a copy anyway, but it is NOT a requirement for a legal transaction when a non-FFL sends a firearm to the buyer's FFL.

This answers the question for FLL to FFL. The EZ Check System is only a backup
27 CFR 478.94
Also., my local ATF office advises that you obtain a copy of the transferee's license; inked, faxed, or email.

The system is designed for non-FFLs to verify the license through the EZ Check system. If the ATF wanted that it would be well documented. I've yet to see that. The next thing you'll be telling me is I can't ship a firearm to a non FFL within my state.

As an FFL for well over 30 years I can tell you they send that information out fairly often. As for accusing me of not knowing the law, please show me an example of a mistake I have posted. There are a few over the years I have made, acknowledged and apologized for, but go ahead and show me one.
