I've got a Mcmillan ADL inletted for my rem 600 delivering tomorrow. I know you're supposed to turn the ADL 700 trigger guard around, but has anyone ever tried a different guard, ie Kimber Montana TG?
Also the front screw on a factory 600 is the colossal slotted screw. Any tips on a new one that will fit but be a hex head?
Thanks guys

I've inletted mine for Willie Manning's CVMW alloy unit 'cause I really dislike the ergs and esthetics of the reversed 700 ADL trigger guard.
Someone told me that the Marlin trigger guards to their tubular magazine .22 magnums, the old 983 and 983S, work, but I haven't used them or seen them used in this application so I can't say from personal experience.

CreekChub - "...front screw on a factory 600 is the colossal slotted screw." I know of what you speak...looks like they used left-over parts from a very large truck. Someday I'll spend some time looking for a replacement in a torx or hex head config. Part suppliers catering to local machine shops would be my first stop... Homesteader

I think Brownells offers allen-head 600 screws. When I did my 660 in a McMillan ADL, I had a smith open the tang of the action to take a standard 700 rear screw and used a Holland ADL guard with only one hole. Came out pretty clean-looking. No problems yet. ADL / Holland / 660

JPro - " think Brownells offers allen-head 600 screws." Well, dumb on me. The most obvious place to look for this part and I didn't remember Brownells. Thanks for jogging 'ye olde' brain cells, Homesteader

Maybe I should be using key words other than "remington 600", but I can't seem to find the hex screws on Brownell's. Anyone have a link they can share?
