Finally decided to have a rifle built. Lots of choices on who to do the work. After googling gunsmiths I came across Alamo Precision Rifles out of TX. Called them up and talked with Jason. I was looking for a hunting rifle. Seems now days everyone wants to build you a long range heavy rifle. After several phone calls and emails back and forth. They built exactly what I wanted. . This came Monday. I couldn't be happier. Topped it with a nightforce shv. Now to shoot it.

Nice rig. Very close to what I would do, except I would go McMillan mtn rifle on the stock. Can't wait to hear how it shoots!

Cool! Lots of fancy machining.
Is that 7.6#'s sans scope and mounts?

Being this is the first non off the shelve rifle l've gotten, i don't have experience with any barrel brands. When putting together the build sheet, the Alamo fellow said they've really been impressed with the X-caliber barrels. I'm sure it will shoot better than I can.
