Not sure I understand this. You have 3 scopes with no guns, and 3 options for a new build. 3=3 doesn't it? whistle

Thought Mathman would be all over this obvious equation.

Had many 7/08's, and 6.5x55's, then built a 6.5-08, then had several 260's and later a Creedmoor. Now down to a Lapua, which would work well for Poobah.

Now about that man card thing. Isn't the 243 for beginners? Like women and children?

Now a 6BR, that's a thinking man's round. Killed deer to a 1/4 mile myself. Ask Bigstick

So all that aside, only you can decide. If you want to get grow in Loonyism, do a 264-BR smile

I still think the Coyote Bomber is one of the best. Had this one built in 2005

Like a .410 shotgun, the .243 is for experienced shooters...not beginners. Like my other .243, this will be my "BIG" gun....

Yes, very nice.

Ingwe, no doubt, I never felt handicapped when using a 6BR on deer and based on what my former RSI 20" 243 did on a Hog with 85 XBT, the BR will replicate it's performance on game. Those using various 6's and 22's on large game, often know about bullet selection and placement. All else becomes moot.

I always wondered what everyones hesitation is on things like the .243...it will put a hole through a rock chuck you can shove your fist and arm through. Put the same hole in a deer's lungs and fire up the BBQ!

Right?

I've wondered the same about people's aversion to fast twists.

Just because it will put a fist sized hole in a rock chuck, doesn't mean it will do the same to a deer. I've shot both and the results were definitely not the same....

Tom,

I thought you hinted elsewhere about open sights. I have some classic old school pieces if this is the case.
