Erich, my buddy has one and loves it. I've shot it and was surprised how accurate it was. It's a hoot to shoot. Very mild recoil for a .45.

I fondled one at a gun counter last week, and felt myself quickly falling in love. Good balance, great trigger, longer sight radius, and the same Glock frame that fits my mitts. It's been added to my wish list.
Unless you bought a lemon (very doubtful) I really think you'll love your new pistol.

It's on my Glock wishlist, too.

Years ago I wanted a new .45. Thought I would go fondle a Glock and checked out the 21. I thought it felt clunky and horrible and turned my mind off on Glocks, henceforth (bought a used W. German Sig 220). Fast forward about ten years and the first Glock I actually shot was my police buddy's little 27 he used as a BUG. Pretty damn snappy and loud...no thanks. Fast forward to a couple of years ago and my shooting buddy was getting persuaded by a business associate to check out a Glock. Next thing I know, we go out shooting and he pulls out a 41 from the box. My first impression was a) how deceptively light it was cuz it seemed so 'big' and b) how much better it felt than the old 21 from days of yore. Shooting it really opened my eyes and tore down some preconceptions about poly pistols and Glocks in particular. Very soft and controllable and I LOVED the K.I.S.S. engineering of the Glock. I think it took me only about two weeks before i bought my first Glock--a 30S. Two years later, I've got 5 including a 41. Oddly enough, I was just thinking this week I need to give the 41 some more love this summer as I've been mostly shooting my 19 and 30S. My 41 is my backpacking/hunting backup which I stoke with BB 255 gr hardcast and carry in a chest holster. It's got a full trigger job and Hackathorn night sights. Great pistol! ETA: Smart move on Glocks part to use a 'slim slide' on the 41. Really makes it balance and carry well compared to the big old block on top of the 21 and 30.

I fondled one at a gun counter last week, and felt myself quickly falling in love. .................. great trigger............. Same Glock trigger as always or did they do something different with the 41/newer models? I'm not bashing on your opinion. I have lots of Glocks and have never bashed their triggers or others like them. I've just never considered their triggers great. Is there a difference with the 41?

I assumed such. I know we all have preferences and, indeed, some of my "identical" triggers are better than others.

NOT the same 5.5# +/- trigger they usually have. I've pulled a lotta Glock triggers and the G41 appears to have the 3.5# straight out of the box..........like the G34/35. I realize the Glock website lists them at 5.5, but that wasn't the case with my sample. Not that any Glock couldn't have one installed, it's just a nice surprise when fogging a gun counter.

Mojo, I'd be interested in knowing the details of tje trigger job on your 41 and parts you used. I just started playing around with the trigger on my 19. Got a 3.5 lb" NDZ polished connector put in. Trigger is a bit smoother, but only took it down to ~ 5 lbs. Also got a Ghost Bullet Forward slide lock put in, which as a lefty, I'm starting to like a lot. I've checked out the 21's several times now, but just can't find the love. Liking the 41's a lot better.

Does require some filing, but if you're not into that they make a reduced drop in connector for you (the 'Pro', IIRC). http://www.ghostinc.com/product/GHO_EETK/EVO-ELITE-COMPLETE-Trigger-Kit-for-Glocks-GEN-1-4.htmlWhile I have mine apart I take my Dremel with the buffing wheel and red rouge applied and polish everything that touches anything. Most parts are pretty clean as is but I figure polishing never hurt anything!

I recently bought a 40 MOS. The trigger in mine is much nicer than the one in my older Gen 1 20.

That g41 shoots right with my sig 220, hard to tell the groups apart. The grip is smaller on the g41 than my xd45, but they both carry 13 in the mags. My sig is still more comfortable in my hand. I think I am going to change the front sight to a TFO and hopefully it will work with the factory rear sight. I do like having 13 rds. of 45 acp in my hand. I have put about 200 rds. through it with no problems. Erich

anyone know what kind of accuracy you can get out of the 40 or 41? I just cannot help but think the trigger is a big influence on its performance.
