Toying with the idea of a 1-200 yard night scope for assorted critters. A grand max on the budget. What's out there in Gen 2?. No thermal obviously for that price. I know very little on them. Was looking at ATN. Yeah? Nah? Just to put on a 22hornet,223 or something bolt gun for whatever. Comments, knowledge, info appreciated. Use Weaver bases?

You might find a used gen2 for that but honestly you are probably better off going digital NV with a good IR. I have one and they work "ok" in open fields, but if you have any brush/grass you will get a lot of wash out. If you want my advise, keep saving for a thermal or good gen3. NV and Thermal are not cheap but boy are they fun! smile

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.
