Will the scope work in #3 height rings, or do you need #4's?

Yes, that scope will work in #3 rings. I currently have this combo on my 1S and use to have that same combo on my 1A before swapping to a M8 4X.

#4's will give you a little bit more room at the chamber (loading / unloading) for your fingers, but #3's definitely give me better eye alignment when shouldering.

If you crawl the stock a little with the power on 7X / 8X then you will want to turn the rear sight around backwards so it folds back and not forwards. This will help you gain a little bit more rearward movement with the scope if you need it.

Thanks for the confirmation, and the tip!
I appreciate it.
