Been thinking about replacing the tube magazine on this 582 to a 581 clip, nothing wrong with the tube set-up, I'd just like to make it look more uber.
Surely someone's done this?

Just buy a 581. They're not that pricey. Of course, then you've got to scrounge magazines. I'd kinda like a tube model as they carry better. Tube-feeds are, in general, supposed to be more likely to develop issues over time. Don't know about the 582s in that regard.

I have a spare 581 if you want to trade. Thanks for the offer, this one is not a showpiece, stock is broken @ the grip and not much bluing left. It's a family keepsake which further complicates things, LOL.
