That saw looks almost new. That is quite a feat for a saw made probably 30 years ago. I have an 028 Wood Boss that is 35+ years old and am having trouble finding parts for it. I need a new switch. The old one is fatigued and it is difficult to get it to hold its shape. It either won't start or won't shut down properly. Still has discontinued parts production. Anyhow, that is a great find.

The contact springs are readily available. I'd assume that would help your situation.

Gave it a once over this morning. It came with a new chain so I swapped that over as the one on it wasn't gonna cut anything. Added some gas and bar oil and off it went. Runs like it's brand new! It'll make a nice little firewood saw to have in my boat when we're camping and fishing.
