We have Cooper's, Sharp Shins, and winter time Goshawks. Mostly they mine the quail and Eurasian collared doves around Cookie's bird feeders. The Sharp Shins will work the smaller birds, and Coopers will damned near commit suicide to bag their prey. The Goshawks don't really have to hunt. They come in low and fast over the roof and the quail will kill themselves trying to clear out.

Shootaswede ,
Hello bud . To keep birds away buy some cheap light duty fence that can be bought at Lowes depot , the 2x3'' rectangular kind . Lay it out and cut it wires then stand them up so that the birds trying to land will get gigged by the up pointed prongs . Make the cuts diagonally so they will have an ''edge point'' and not a blunt point . If you have a gap where the birds are sill trying to sit on - tie a piece of spiderwire type fishing line across the upright fence prongs . Or enjoy Mutual of Omaha's wild kingdom in your front yard . via Hawk . I keep birds off of small solar panels that power night hog hunting lights like this .

Used to live in NW GA, about 15 miles north of Berry College. Berry now has one of those “bald eagle cams” right above the nest that live streams what mama and daddy are doing 24/7. Three years ago we were watching the live stream feed and daddy (mama?) flys into the nest with a bream, tears it apart and feeds the two chicks. Later on that day it flys back with a damn dead cat! The cat gets shredded too and fed right then and there for all 35,000 or so viewers tuning in at that moment. Crazy
You only live once, but...if you do it right, once is enough.
