I've posted photos of my friends cabin out of Hope. This is the email that he sent this weekend.
Well strange things do happen. Elaine and I went to our cabin on Thurs. Did some work around there and on Fri I headed up the trail to my claims on my 4 wheeler. Met two guys walking in, talked for an hour. They were Don Barber and Gary Titus. Come to find out I know Don’s Dad and sister. And Titus wrote the book about Andrew Berg that you sent me. Very interesting , been hiking partners for years as it says in the acknowledgments of the book. They are historians for the Kenai area and go all over looking for remains of old cabins and mine sites. Crazy all the places they have been. They were looking for old cabins that were on my claims around 1900. They never got that far since they would run out of time to do much looking. I met them again on my way out, talked another half hour. May be back this week, Bob PS the No. ! Guide book is not hard to find now, Gary says he has boxes of them
