I have a brand new Leupold VX-3i gloss 3.5 to 10 by 40mm scope that's still in it's factory shrink wraping and has never been opened. Gloss finished VX-3i's are quite hard to come by and this one was ordered thru Leupold's custom shop as a non cataloged but standard item (Leupold P.N. 170450). The scope with duplex reticle was purchased for my son's rifle however he choose to use a matte finished one since it was a better match. This scope is priced below wholesale at $350 plus $15 shipping which includes insurance and a tracking number CONUS. I would be happy to send a picture showing the scope in its sealed box as well as another one of the end label showing the part number and description if you'd like to see them.
An interesting side-note is that I recently found out Leupold is beginning to phase back-in gloss finished models and are charging a premium for them. Their big draw for me is not only do they match many older "period" rifles closer but the gloss finish holds up to the rings better than the matte finish does. Matte scopes seem to have a smeared or compressed grain look when the scope is removed.
