150 Partition (can be had in Federal factory, or load your own) and the 140 TBBC in Federal factory. Of the two, I like the 150 Nosler and have had great results including on a Moose.

150 Nosler Partition. No question. 58 grains of H-4831. Any more questions?

I use 150 NP handloads. They just work. I bought some Federal Hi Energy 140 gr TBBC's, that's a good choice if your rifle likes 'em.

Another vote for the partition, but I've killed more elk with 130 partitions than 150s. Even the 130s penetrate more than enough, at any reasonable distance.

Bill- wondering how many elk have you taken with that 140 Accu and how has it performed? Found any of them?
Thx

The 150 NP reigns supreme for elk & moose; kilt deer with the TBBC, but have not used it on elk yet.

Sorry, I haven't hunted elk with my .270. I thought the post was about my favorite .270 bullet in general.
I did take two caribou with my .270 and the 140gr Accubond last year. The Accubond performed well. Complete penetration with about a one inch exit wound. It is also extremely accurate.
I hunt elk with my A-bolt in .338WM and a Knight DISC rifle. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Mine is the Hornady 130 gr. SP. It is the most accurate out of my rifle because I feel that placement is of paramount importance.

Paria -that 160 NPT is one super cool bullet and one that is very capable and very underused!
I've had excellent accuracy (as good as I can get) and it is a super game killer!
