Mom always told me I have two ears and one mouth, that I should use them in proportion. I figure the same applies to posting. However, some apply the same logic to two eyes and ten fingers. 😀

Guilty as hell. I visit the Campfire mainly for a quick dose of realism on current news facing the nation since I can't trust any of the regular news outlets anymore. Like a lot of fellow introverts, I may not post a lot but enjoy the ones that do. I sure miss deflave!

Been around here since 2001. Extremely rare that I ever look at ones post count. More interested in substance than numbers.

i think a big part of having a high post count for some of us is that we actually know each other, we hunt , fish etc with each other. the forum provides us a place to BS with each other as group.

This is very true stx.

I'm not saying a high post count is something to strive for, just I think a lot of guys like to sit back and read and watch the "epic" threads unfold.
It is always fun to see somebody be booted and try to come back as a different persona till they get busted.

Just a fun place to hang out contribute on occasion.

Grammar is important.
Capitol letters are the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" & "helping your uncle jack off a horse".

That's why we have two of one, and one of the other.

Damn good advice.

This looks like a good place to post my "1st". Just joined but have visited the "Fire" often for education/information/entertainment.

I'm another one who likes to read the fire rather than contribute. I tune in several times a day and am always entertained by something that has been posted.

Now if I could ever learn to type with more than two fingers, I would probably have a lot more to say.

Poker, welcome to the "fire", as I tell newcomers, watch your coat, and hat.
