I have just bought a 2013 Silverado, need to buy a tool box for it. Prefer a low-profile model. What brand(s) do you guys find to be most durable and waterproof? Of course, looking for good value as well. Ford, Ram, and Tundra owners, feel free to chime in! smile Thanks.

Money buys a lot.

What's your price range?

I'd prefer to keep it under, say, $400.

Look at the DeeZee boxs. Don't buy a cheap box, do it once.

UWS

I've got several of them.

If you looking for low profile, chest types are also an option.

seems several brands come from Perry, Florida. I guess one company's hands went seperate ways years ago.

72" low profile. $400 at walmart of all places.

weatherguard is the best, but i can't afford one.most aluminum boxes are so thin you can flatten them with a bump from a atv.

I bought my current truck used and it came with a Weatherguard and it is a well built piece. This one specifically.

UWS. I personally like their deep well model. It holds a LOT of stuff!
If you get an aluminum box, put a piece of carpet in the bottom to keep stuff from rubbing aluminum dust off it and getting all over everything inside.

Thanks for the responses. The weatherguard is too rich for my blood and the RKI is a bit of a mystery...can't determine pricing or ordering on the website. I've had UWS before with no issues, so that's likely to be my choice.
