Recently acquired one on trade. It's a Churchill Regent Trap 30". Stamped "Churchill - Chapin, SC USA" and "Made in Italy". So it's Italian, and has some makers marks in the action. It's heavy and everything feels solid as it can be and it's pretty dang good looking. Haven't shot it yet, but I can't find much online. Some saying the last models were imported in South Carolina but were Turkish models in the early 90s. Trader said this was an early 80's model. It's dang near flawless. Just wish I knew more about it?

Pretty sure they were actually made by Fausti. Ellett Bros. was the importer.

The Chapin would indicate to me that it is a run for Ellett Brothers Distributors in Chapin, SC. They are a large gun ad fishing wholesaler in Chapin, SC.
