Random question time.....is a bolt on an original Ti anything unique other than the spiral fluting? Meaning, is it just a standard 700 bolt, with some cosmetic changes, or does it have Ti in the bolt and weighs less than normal.
Wanted: Vintage Remington or Winchester hats, patches, shirts. PM me if you have something.

Not sure if they made a Ti bolt but the few I have seen had steel bolts. I have heard that Ti bolts were tried and they had galling issues and possibly setback issues but that could be rumor.

I always thought they were just milled out to save a bit of weight.

No "ti" in the bolt but does weight fractionally less secondary to fluting/milling.
