Has anyone else tried this combination?

I think Reloder 26 may be my new favorite powder, it seems to be so predictable with whatever I try it with. I'm getting 3100 fps (5 shot ES of 11 fps) with 62.0 gr of RL26 producing itty bitty groups. With a ballistic coefficient of .719 the LRAB flies so much better than the 130 gr Accubond (which also shoots really good with RL26). I could probably run it hotter but it shoots so well I may just leave well enough alone.

I tried RL 26 and several others in my 264 Win model 70 sporter with no luck. Never found a decent accuracy node so I never bothered to run it over a chrony. Tried H1000, IMR7828 and at least one other. Finally found a load with RL33 getting 3250 fps and no pressure signs. As for the BC, I figure from my shooting it's around .620 or so. Still good an accurate out to the ranges I'll be willing to shoot a game animal.

Try some lapua 155-grain mega tip bullets they shoot clover leads in.my 264 win mag and my 260 Remington. They shoot under an inch at 300 yards with h870 that reloader 26 would probably work awesome.I.use h870 I bought all I could before it they stopped selling it .I have killed deer and pronghorn with that bullet flips them in their tracks ,

That's a big old bullet. I'll bet it does flip them in their tracks.

I've also tried H4831, Reloder 22, Reloder 25, Reloder 33, H1000, Retumbo, IMR 7977 and Magnum and they're all pretty good with the 130 gr AB or 142 gr LRAB, but Reloder 26 produces better accuracy and plenty of velocity vs the rest.
