I haven't watched SNL in many years.... IIRC that show tilts pretty hard Left... If they are doing this.....all I can say is <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
They do tilt left, for sure. But lately I've seen some really nice jabs at the left on there. They've done some great satire on Nancy Pelosi, and then they did this one skit that I can't remember much of ... I just remember that they were digging really hard on the right, and the audience was really into it, then they started jabbing the left, and the audience got quiet ... they had a Democrat spokesperson saying things like "I can't believe the voters trust us on defense! Everyone knows we can't be trusted on defense!" and "There will be no more problems with Guantanamo, as we will simply free all terrorists."
