Nah, I know better than to shoot a Merkel Well, not all Merkels are doubles but one can get a double with a Merkel the easy way (one at a time) or the hard way! (a twofer) So nifty, I can bearly stand it ya! GWB I've never seen anyone post more pictures of nothing, not to mention nothing relevant, in my life. Wow. Yeah, the nerve of the guy to post pictures of beautiful rifles and dead animals...

I've never met either of you but I'm sure I would also like him personally a lot better than you.

Hey, all I asked was for similar experiences from other SAKO owners and Geedub has a LOT of credibility with me. I didn't mean for his to turn into another pissing match

And no disrespect intended. Sako's were my first luv when it came to collecting rifles, and as expressed, I've had excellent luck. Knowing you have a sense of humor, I could not resist gigging you just a bit. Years ago when I first started posting here, being a newbie, I had not established my bona fides. One has probably heard the old bromide, "pictures or it didn't happen". Consequently I tend to include pictures in many of my posts and threads. Undoubtedly, I prolly over-do it quite often. I try not to be overly redundant in the pix I post, but perhaps you've also heard the saying, "How is it I can remember every word from a song from 1967, but I can't remember why I walked into the kitchen"? But what the hey, it's entertainment! Best, GWB

"G": I'm pretty sure the spring is just a little tired. As I mentioned on my first post, the other SAKO I had in the same caliber did not have this issue. This one ejects them "ok" it just doesn't launch them into lower orbit like my Weatherby do. I am VERY happy with the rifle. J

J Well, I'm sure not in the same Sako owner class as G, but I do have an 85 6.5x55 I think a lot of...doesn't throw empties into orbit either, but doesn't drop them back down into the works. It wouldn't be a rifle I'd want to get rid of. Also have a Sako Quad rimfire with all four barrels. A 5mm RemMag barrel would make it perfect.
