Alas, the same can be had for less AND without KUIU inscribed on it. The only part of KUIU that impresses me is how stupid the owner is. Stupid all the way to the bank. This. Jason may be many things, but poor ain't one of them. And some of his gear is pretty good. But for my money, I'll take 4 Barretts or Kimbers all day long :-)

Looks like a pretty nice rifle...
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.

Have not found Sitka or kuiu gear to fit tall, big guys. Guess it's for the little fellers.

I would drag my balls through a mile of broken glass before I paid them $6000 for that, with all the custom smiths available.. Same. Not a chance in hell I'd pay $6k for that rifle.

In all sincerity, that's a pretty fine list of components. Alas, the same can be had for less AND without KUIU inscribed on it. This ^^^^^ Just short of $6K for a rifle AND you want me to advertise for you too! I don't think so. The rifle in question and Remington's introduction of the 6.5 Creedmoor into its lines is a signal to me that they've MAY have realized how far they are behind in the times. Unfortunately for them, I don't think the bandwagon is gonna slow down so they can catch up.
I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

I think he's a phenomenal businessman and turns out some pretty damned fine products (I have a number of his garments). While he's selling product, he's actually selling the experiential - it's not the WHAT, it's the WHY. He knows his brand and has worked very hard in cultivating/nurturing it. And, he surely understands his audience. Remington will sell some of these rifles but it won't be to gun cranks (gun cranks know better) - it'll be to the guys that dote on every new docudrama that KUIU produces.

He's selling the flat brimmed wet dream to punk kids that don't know better...
Remington just admitted the hard way that their trigger sucks and so does the 260. If they'd done a SS 6.5 CM, 1:8, 20", in an edge they'd sell a pile.

I hunted in carharts for years and years as I didn't know any better but have switched to some Kuiu stuff. It's very good stuff.

He wants to maintain the image of only athletic hunters wearing his clothing.
I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.

KUIU is definitely not selling to fat old men sitting in a deer stand or road hunting...

You guys just don't understand the value that KUIU brings to the rifle world. Being a glass-half-full kind of guy, I'm just delighted it doesn't say Bone Collector on it. Laughing It comes with a KUIU-phone for selfies to post on Instagram cracker as well.... LOL

Amazing. No way would I pay $6000 for that rifle.
On my first and last sheep hunt I bought a Kimber Montana in 270 WSM. It was the worst rifle I have ever owned, accuracy wise. So I sold it and had Jim Kobe build me a sheep rifle, on a Rem 700 action, Mcmillan Edge and Shilen barrel. It was also a 270WSM. And it was very accurate. I do not recall the weight but it was pretty light. And it killed a dall and mountain caribou.

That's msrp. I'm sure they'll show up cheaper.
I'd never pay it, but most of my clients I take fishing would in a heartbeat, and I'm sure that's the market they are after. They aren't after the guy who would rather have 5 kimber montanas to tinker with and reload for. They are after the guy who takes a few high dollar hunts a year and who wants one or two rifles.
Make fun of the Kuiu guys all you want, but in my opinion, they really get after it.

I need to start dieting and hitting the gym next week so I can fit in them in Sept..(grin)

Actually the reason I posted this was just glad to see Remington building rifles again with a Ti action. Wonder if a guy could get one from the Custom Shop?? Or hopefully there will be a trickle down and they build Ti rifles again. If they did a build again like the 1st Gen Ti in the right caliber/twist guessing they could sell a bunch.
