Drew the muzzleloader hunt, 3rd week of Sept. Never been there. Anybody have ideas on where to start? What size bucks can be expected? Am going out a couple days before hunt starts to look it over. Getting my T/C Renegade ready. Should be lots of fun.. John

I hunted just north of there a few years back and saw a lot of antelope, but all the bucks were small. The biggest challenge is that it's all private. I'd spot a group and they'd move to close or over the property line from where I had access.
I drew 11 this year for the doe season the month of December. I'll be interested in hearing how your hunt goes.

I got mixed up in my areas. I'm in 111, not 11. My bad. 11 is primo antelope country.

I've hunted Unit 11 a whole bunch. Never for a buck antelope but do for does every first chance I get. I live in Rangely. Lot's of antelope, lots of private, not really very many big bucks and takes way more points than it should to draw. But there is a chance for a decent buck and lots of hunting land. Make sure you have a GPS chip before you come out. No one place is better than the other. Good chance of goats no matter where you go.
Good luck,
Todd

Hunted area 11 alot for elk and lopes when you could draw a tag with one point. Go south out of Maybell on 59 (Bitterbrush) and find a high spot to glass. You should see goats in every direction. Find a buck and take note of his location. He will not go far. Drive the two tracks and also drive the roads 143 and 23 north of the highway also. Did I mention you will see goats. Seemingly in every draw. Maybe not that much but there are lots of goats in 11. If you have dreams of a 15 incher you will be disappointed. If you see one in the 13-14" range, I'd be pulling the trigger! It is very open country so a 300yd + shot is possible.
