Montana beaches are full of injuns and hotdogs are way over rated. If cost of living was that important, we'd be living in Zimbabwe.

I've never actually been to NZ, but it looks great. Met several kiwis, they've all been great folk. Year round goat and sheep hunting. Small game, ducks, mountains, fresh and salt water fishing........I'd be happy to check it out for a few years.

It'd beat the Schit out of Missouri anyway.

Haha!

My wife is from New Zealand, and her father still farms over there on the South Island.

Been back with her twice. It is nice country.

I have not been to the North much, mostly south.

The Mackenzie District has some country that gets less rain than northern Wyoming.

A little further south is the Fjordlands, with receives 9 FEET! of rain per year. Invercargill is cold and wet, but to the north of that a bit is Queenstown....very nice.

You could be the first kid on your block to shoot a wallaby or a furry tail possum. Hell, they will turn your wallaby trophy into a meat pie in Waimate.

You can always find some yahoo with a big block powered jet boat to take you up the Rakaia. Or catch blue cod up in Millford sound.

If you are feeling lazy from too much Speigts beer, you can pay a kid to catch a blue cod for you and he will race up the shore and turn it into the best fish and chips you ever stuffed into your gob.

Good answer. Nothing to see or do here, especially when it rains, and it rains a lot. We had 24 days of rain in June alone.

I'm good where I'm at. When I decide to pull the pin on the career, I'll be dragging my ass up north where I have property.

I like it right here in Northern Wisconsin. Just think of the four seasons. Almost Winter, Winter, a little after Winter and the upcoming Winter.

in the first 28 years of our marriage the wife and i moved 29 times. the last 20 we moved 2 time's . into a new house on the same place , then back to the old place. the only other place's i would consider is a small town in north Portugal called Valenca and one in the south of Spain called Mazagon. as my Portuguese speaking is nil, and my Spanish is East LA. i think i'll die here.

Nice place but your summer's look awfully cold.

So if my wife was transformed into a stepford wife, it would be either Show Low/Springerville AZ or Northeast Utah/southwestern Wyoming.

If she won't change, it will be a trailer park in Winnemucca.

I'd probably live in LA before a trailer park in Winnemucca, and I hate LA.

With that knowledge it's hard to figure out where. Plan now is to end up on a lake or pond in central NH. If I was alone it would be west (ID, MT) but I love my wife and I'm very sure I can be happy there. Five-ish years until that happens.

If I was alone I would have to spend little time roaming in a camper to figure out where.

Haaa, weren't we just talking about this last weekend?

Alaska. My calendar says 1569 days and I sure hope I survive those many days of this damn heat here.
