I use Redding and Wilson products as much as I can. That said, there is much RCBS stuff on hand here too.

I would rank Forster and Redding ahead of RCBS, but RCBS makes dies for a lot of wildcats and obsolete cartridges that the other don't, so I have a lot of RCBS dies.

I have a personal affinity for Rock Chuck Bullet Swage having grown up in the next town north of Oroville. There are other products on the market that are as good but RCBS and Huntington's Sportsman's Store have been my "go to" place for years. Good reloading equipment, product support and stellar customer service.

I have a bunch of Redding stuf too...and it's high quality. Handy also since they're less than an hour drive from my home.

I have also gotten a couple sets of CH-4D dies in recent years. Excellent quality and their list of wildcats is superb. They were the only ones able to sell me dies for the .22 Maximum Lovell, off the shelf, no waiting, no special order- imagine that, for an 80 year old obscure wildcat.

The one time I sent a die back to RCBS to have a stuck case removed they said it couldn't be removed, but miracle of miracles, they had another one available, for almost $300. I said no thanks, send it back. I got it out.

I find Redding and RCBS dies to be affordable, good quality, and great service from both. I lean toward Redding because they are a NY company.

I have asked for replacement neck buttons, center shaft, and deprimer pins, from both companies and they were sent quickly, and free of charge. One stuck case die returned to Redding, it was returned clean and polished, with a free stuck case removal kit.

I use Forster competition bushing dies for three bench rest calibers, and love their little case lathes for wildcat brass work.

When I started reloading back in the early 70's I was a dedicated RCBS user, all my equipment was green. Since seeing the Ponsness Warren metallic presses debut at the SHOT show in the early 80's my presses are now PW. My dies are mostly RCBS with a few LEE and Hornady. Agreed RCBS cuatomer service is some of the best in the industry, call them with a problem and a new part is on its way free of charge.

One of the Lee products I really like are the cast bullet sizers. The presses that RCBS and Lyman make always push the bullet off to one side with me. The Lee die is self centering.

Yeah, they're good but I still use my Saeco bullet lubrisizer for most of them. For odd sizes needed for an experiment or short run I make my own by boring/reaming/polishing a hole in a piece of brass or steel round stock in my lathe and then push the bullets through by using my bench-mounted arbor press.

Lee dies. Properly shaped expander and the way the dies are made I have never had to test their customer service. Unlike the RCBS-style expander button with fragile decap pin that hasn't had a design update since they brought it out --- how many decades ago?

Yeah... that RCBS decapping pin caused me to shelf both my 250 and 300 Savage RCBS dies. Picked up Lee's. Should sell those RCBS dies.. hate the danged things.

"Here's your dies - and here's replacement decapping pins. They come in packs of 6 because they break ALL THE FRIGGING TIME".

Rant off.

I decap using a Lee Universal decapper. I do like Lee stems for necking up as the taper is way better than the others. miles
