I have a Remington 887 shotgun in for repair that locks up tight every time it is closed, whether it is fired or not. You have to bump the butt on the ground to open it every time. I have polished the mating surfaces of the rotating bolt and its recess in the barrel extension but didn't help anything. I did not see any obvious burrs or galls but am still baffled. I read other reviews that mention similar problems occasionally, but not every time.
Anyone have an idea?
