Yes, but then you wouldn't have to pick them up neither.

Boss went to Africa. Round of choice is 22 Mag. Unless pelt damage isn't an issue then 55 grain Vmax out of a 22-250 should have a nice splash effect.

Reckon if i wanted anything more than the 10-22 that a 25-06 with 75 VMax would work.
Or I might could figure a use for an AR/5.56/VMax combo...

I can often differentiate the sound of a VMax hit from that of other bullets. And my ears aint' much good either.

It'd be hard to beat a 22 rimfire.

FL fish and game may be the only state FG agency more fugged up than Washingtons. Count on them to do it wrong and cause everybody issues.

Them muzzy types are clever. Monkeys from Allah's kingdom. But I repeat myself....

The VMax pill is recommended only for the worst cases of monkey butt.

They will not be sitting and staring at you from the top of a tree. Once they start getting hunted, you won't get many with anything less than buckshot in a 12 gauge. Maybe 000B.B's. Might be fun to hunt with a .22, but if you are out to help control the population explosion, you might as well give yourself an advantage. I doubt if many are going to eat them.

With the wild stuff running around in Floridas woods , the monkey carcasses will quickly become compost

Good grief. Some of you must be thinking they're the size of [bleep]. They are hardly 15 pounds.

What load would the experts on this Forum suggest for taking care of the problem

But don't head to Florida just yet

Before any of you rednecks get all het up and start frothing at the mouth about a new type of hunt, doesn't this come under the auspice of BLM?

I don't think so. According to Birdwatcher:

They got brains, organization, climbing ability and color vision...

Great thread btw.

I have been thinking on this for a bit and believe that a stout load of number 5 hard shot out of a 12 gauge with a modified choke should work.

Just think of shooting turkeys. smile

It actually sounds like it would be a heck of a lot of fun with a fast 20 double.
