Prayers sent. When I saw a local guy on the news last night saying his crew is going up there to help fight the fires it drove it home how bad it is.

Sucks, but life you save, the rest is all replaceable. Remember engines don't run without oxygen.... IE getting out at the last second.

It is a HUGE evacuation area so hopefully they are just being cautious and Ben and Co. will be spared...

You got it. Dealt with wild land fires a lot and been on both sides, homeowner and firefighter and I have nothing but respect for the power of Mother Nature. Get the important things out and don't shed a tear for the building, it's all replaceable but the lives aren't. Turn on the sprinklers around and on the house and get out to safety.

They have my prayers as well. I just built a cabin a few counties over (near White Sulphur Springs) and woke up to a message that there is a wildfire raging through the area. I don't live in the cabin, so I'm waiting to hear of its fate. I guess it's part of the price to be paid for living in a place where nature abounds.
