What is a 20" H-barrel upper worth? I don't want to get rid of the charging handle and the bolt.

just barrel or complete upper minus bolt and charging handle?
flat top? Carry handle?
Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

I bought this when the ban was in place and have replaced the upper with one I like better. I am wanting to sell this upper because I will not use it.
Thanks

Hbar as in Colt? Or say the barrel brand and twist and how many rounds, that was round count, as in how many bullets did you shoot through it? Floated or not?
What do you want for it? I'd be thinking, depending, appx 200-250 or so. I could be interested depending, have a need for a truck upper again that can be beat up....

When I bought the the rifle I think the modle was XM15 E2s A3. It is a Bushmater upper. I think I have put about 200 rounds through it. The twist is 1/9. On the barrell it says B MP 5.56 NATO 1/9 H BAR. How do I tell if it is floated?

FWIW the nato chamber and bushy barrel are not highly desireable, as in value wise. But better than an Model 1 sales barrel. If the handguards are regular handguards, odds are its not floated. Sling swivel would come off the bottom of the handguards, just in front of them and not off the actual front sight base.
Brand new uppers can be had for 400ish, less the 140 or so for the bolt and charging handle. Gives 260ish for a new one. Given an upper is about 90 stripped, a few extra parts, barrel around 150 or so it all gels out that I'd still say 200-250 or so is value. In my opinion.
BTW 200 rounds are not many, life of the tube should be 5K easy. Could be 10K or more depending....

I'm with rost, 200 to 250 is a good take on value.

Ain't seen a Bushmaster upper go for $200.00 yet. $250-300 would be closer to what a post ban upper will bring. List it on ar15.com it will sell and you can see what others are getting.

Should add that I was not saying what it would bring, just what it would cost to start out brand new, then most AR folks would always spend an extra 50 or 100 or so to go brand new. IE used needs to be a bargain for me anyway.
There is always a sellers market somewhere, especially with soem folks having to pay retail pricing for stuff where I'd never pay retail....
I"d suspect you could find the right person would give you 350 even...

Unless you're a dealer, it would cost more than $260.00 for a new Bushmaster upper.

Thanks all for the info. I need to decide if I want to sell the upper or just get another lower. Like I need another AR15?
