We're having some miserable heat right now so when I went in for a haircut today I told my barber "with this heat if you have any hair at all it's too much" so he put the shortest fixture he had on his clippers and proceeded to give me a buzz cut.
It's so short I can just barely get hold of it and it's friggin awesome!!!!!
I feel like I'm eight years old again and I just got my annual "butch" haircut.
I'm sure I'll feel differently come winter but for now I'm pretty content being able to comb my hair with a washcloth. smile

It's like going one a diet, without going on a diet. A good haircut can shave 20lbs off!

Twice a year I tell my barber to put on the 1/2 inch guard and cut it off.

Thinking I might get a clipper and do it myself. 15 bucks plus tip twice a year? Robbery!

Hope your buzz cut helps this summer!

Got the 1/2" buzz a while back, my wife said, "Perfect! Now we can play escaped convict & the wardens' wife!"

I keep mine buzzed and flat year-round. I have a fleece-lined beaver and elk skin trapper hat for cold weather.

When I shave my face I just keep going up one side and down the other. By the way I do shave with a blade. Cheers NC

Yea.....I usually keep mine pretty short...1/2" or so...but this is the shortest I've had it since I was a kid.
Sure feels good.

About once a month for me - easy maintenance! Takes "The Warden" 17 minutes, including set-up (I help set-up, of course)

That's the reason I went back to a crew cut. Put the #2 guard on it and go to town. Leaves it about 1/4" long and is good for about three weeks before it starts to touch my ears.

It sounds like your ears are the problem.
