in the stupidity of spill proof gas cans today.
Up until today I've managed to avoid having to buy one of these idiotic devices.
I gave up and used a funnel.
If I ever meet the genius that invented them I'll surely kick him in the vagina.

Just the other day I was trying to explain to my wife over the phone how to use the one we have so she could fill up the pressure washer. I would have pitied the EPA doosh who mandated them had she gotten ahold of them after that. Scratch that, I would have cracked a beer and enjoyed the show.

You'll have to beat me to that SOB to get the first kick in.. I found out very quickly, it's much easier to spill gas with the spill proof. About 6-7 years ago my then 10 and 12 y-o boys were with me when we went into an auto parts store looking for some new 1 gallon gas cans. They still laugh about how the guy behind the counter cussed Obama for creating such an abomination. Not sure what obama did to bring this about, but we still call the pain-in-the-azz to pour cans; "obama cans" As a side note; I got some new spouts with vents and installed them on the [bleep] obama cans. Much better...

After they changed up the spouts i went to all of garage sales/auctions i could get to just to look for old gas cans.
I have several 5 gallon cans as well as some 2 gallon set back. I have bought 2 5 gallon water jugs and wrote on the side with a sharpie"not water"in large letters. If someone drinks out of them it's on them.

I have the high flow version too... A couple of them. And one of the regular ones. The regular ones slow me down now. The wide mouth ones will fill something up fast! Charlie, I got tired of cussing those GD safety pour, BS nozzles myself! The thing about those "safety" nozzles is I spill WAY more gasoline all over the place trying to work them! They are in reality dangerous as hell!

BTW Lonny....I happened to notice that Home Depot has that good fuel additive....two bucks cheaper than Olives too....

Several years ago, Dad called and "The Warden" answered to tell him I'd call back, as I was in the shower. When I called back, he asked "In the shower at 9:00 AM? You sick?" No I had to pour a little gas into the weed eater, that $@&&ed spout stuck - when I pushed it in to pour, I took a gasoline bath! When he quit laughing, he said "Don't you just LOVE Obama?"

I like my normal 2 gallon no spill. It's my chain saw gas can. The filling nozzle just fits into the fill hole of a Husky, the little catch snags the edge. Easy as pie, no funnel, not much spill. Of course I only am pouring 1 quart at a time.

Take a look at these FG, you can even get one in pink........ in the center of the cap it has a plug in it that is NPT thread, make your own spout with a Hose barb adapter and a chunk of hose to the length of your choice or buy one of the premade ones. Link to good gas cans

I re-purpose Tide jugs for mixed gas. They're great for chainsaws and small equipment, but no long spouts so somewhat limited.
