Low 6 digit serialized rifle with 24” barrel; sharp rifling and throat. Round count unknown. Magazine capacity is 4 rounds. Bumped around a bit through hunting and handling. Original front and rear sight still intact, as are the receiver plug screws for scope base mounting. There is some surface rust at the recoil lug, invisible with the rifle assembled.

Bluing is 70% with bluing faded/ worn on the barrel and muzzle. See photos for details.

Wood is 70% and typical of a hunting rifle with minor bumps and carries the original butt plate. Butt plate has suffered some corrosion due to a slip-on recoil pad, but can be easily cleaned up. Stock has been re- finished. Neither the tang or recoil lug is cracked. Rifle was never drilled for sling swivel studs.

Borescope photos of throat available upon request. Complete borescope report with photos available for $85, with or without sale. 3 day inspection period with full refund minus shipping.

$395 shipped to an FFL of your choice. No trades, thank you.

Payment methods are personal check, money order, bank check. I don’t take PayPal. I will take a debit or credit card for a 3% added fee.

Far better rifle than a 700 and easy to fit a 700 stock (cheap on Ebay) into. This one is crying to be a 35/375/400 Whelen or a 9.3x62.

I had one once; great shooter with a sweet trigger. And FYI: Because the stock is not checkered it's very easy to refinish. Strip it with the orange-based goop. Put the medium Danish oil to it and a couple-three very light coats of spray semi-gloss urethane. Done!

For those interested and waiting for a price reduction, be advised that won't be forthcoming. At some point, the rifle will end up on Gun Broker. The rifle is priced fairly and my descriptions are accurate. No surprises await the buyer.
