I would call the local BATF and tell them the story. You had a deal with these brothers to ship a rifle that you paid for. I think you will get a check pretty quick.

Thanks for all the support and good suggestions guys. Our youngest daughter is getting married a week from tomorrow so I'm not spending a whole lot of negative energy on this right now. But, I won't be letting it go. I have a close family connection to the local Postal Inspectors Office. They usually don't spend time on small time crooks like Philip but they might just do me a favor.
The FFL brother angle is also interesting. I have some suspicions there. The brother may be unaware of the details but philip certainly used him to as part of the scheme.
I'm better when I move.

A few years back (like 10) there was a situation like this near me were the dad which was the FFL dealer. his son sold a rifle, took the funds and never shipped the gun, he used his dad shop for the FFL info. Not sure what took part in the deal, but dad ended up losing his FFL over his sons dealing. Would think this would happen to his brother if it was reported.
