We're just lucky that the bullet makers are so responsive and have given us so many great options to choose from. When I got my first 9,3x62 that wasn't the case.
When I was younger, I'd try everything just cuz I could. Nowadays, free time seems so scarce that once I find something that works, I just keep using it until it stops working.

Yeah, we are lucky--but I often feel like just using what works too. Can't always afford to, though, the reason I'm plotting to use several newer bullets on the hunts I have scheduled this fall. I sure hope they work!

I have an older converted 9.3. It is very fussy about which factory ammo will even chamber. It groups the flat bases better than the boat tails in my opinion. I think I got a bunch of the Accubonds in my arsenal that I would trade or sell I think. I am on the road right now working will be home in a week or so if some one needs an accubond fix pm me and I will let you know. I like the rifle and the round but don't plan on using it this year hunting, and like I say I like the flat bases outta the ol girl any how.

I have taken nine species of game (from small hogs to eland) beginning in 2002 with the 9.3x62 only using the original 250 gr X at 2650 fps. Never an issue. Today I would load the 250 gr TTSX and not worry about finding Accubonds. Oops...

You're welcome! Several people have said that load works very well in their 9.3x62's.

It's a magical combo in my 9.3x74R(Ruger No.1) as well. A 250gr NAB .030" off the lands on top of 61gr. RL-15 lit with CCI 200 for 2500fps. Scary accurate. Was just at the range zeroing a new scope and had limited ammo, so I only shot pairs with each adjustment(scope at 6X). Shot 3 pairs at 100, and then another at 200, and again at 300. Each pair at 100, and 200 was a single oblong hole. The 300yd pair was 2". I'll take it. 3" high at 100, zero at 200, and 11" low at 300.

Have to revisit mule deers load data. Getting 2650 from my Varget load with excellent accuracy and Nosler 250 Accubonds.

I've used both Varget and Reloder-15 with the 250 AB. In my CZ 550, 60.5 grains of Varget provides practically identical results to 62.0 grains of RL-15, right around 2650 from the 23.6 inch barrel.

John , what dies do you use for 9.3? I typically use Forster FL and seater (love their seaters ) , and lee collet neck dies and factory crimp dies . Was hoping to use this same setup for a 9.3 I will acquire soon .... but looks like the forsters aren't offered nor the collet die (though I know lee will whip one up . )

There's a standard Redding 2-die set, with a FL sizer and seating die, and result in very straight ammo.

I'm putting up a custom pre-64 M70, 9.3x62, built by Redneck, sitting in a D'Arcy Echols Legend stock if anyone is interested. Trying to figure out how to post pics now that Photobucket got stupid.

Alan Didn't see that coming! That's a beaut!!
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

Alan Dang, let us know when you get pictures up. I like those Legend stocked P64's.

RickF,
It's not the OD green i've had for years. I'd be hard pressed to sell that one. This is a black one, i'm selling for a friend who basically copied mine.
