Dukes is ok .....nothing special. I ordered some from Walmart because I just had to try it. It's ok.

Miracle Whip is straight ghetto, like Fanta Grape Drink and Colt 45 Malt Liquor. That being said, I have had cause in my life to partake in all 3...and like them!

Virgil, we don't have, to my knowledge, "Best Foods" mayo. Hard to say Push comes to shove, and I have a house left after Hurricane Irma blows through, I'll mail you a jar of Dukes.

Bought a small bottle to try.

Wife and I agreed . . . . Back to Hellmans as son as we finish it.

OK, but not that great to us.

Everybody's taste differs and that is a good thing.

Duke's is not Hellman's. That's for sure. Actually surprised you didn't like it. But, if you're used to Hellman's, then at least you're using something that's good, and not that whipped sugar and water sewage Miracle Whip. grin

Mayonnaise and Miracle Whip are two totally different items with totally different tastes. I use them for different purposes. They happen to look similar but so do Marmite and chocolate frosting.

"Marmite is made from yeast extract, a by-product of beer brewing. Other similar products include the Australian Vegemite, the Swiss Cenovis and the German Vitam-R. The British version of the product is a sticky, dark brown food paste with a distinctive, powerful flavour, which is extremely salty."

Personally....I'd rather talk about guns, knives, trucks, fishing, camping, hunting, or large breasts.

As far as mayonnaise goes.....I'l eat just about any of it..... but don't call MW mayonnaise cause it ain't.

This is critically important. We need to have the best mayo and boycott MW.

Just to tell you how good Duke's is, I put it on my turkey sandwiches every day. An alternate use we found this year for those of you with young children in the south is for Lice control. My daughter got it at school twice this year(bout half the school got it as well). We tried RID, did not work. We tried a prescription med, $200, did not work. Well the Duke's mayo killed all the live bugs both times in one application. Then just had to comb the nits away.

The Great Mayo Debate, it goes, on, and on. Most of us can't buy Dukes.

For those of us that can't get Dukes, we should have a thread about the 'second best' mayo!

I can get Duke's usually, but my close second choice is Blue Plate.

Well the Duke's mayo killed all the live bugs both times in one application. Then just had to comb the nits away.

There is NO better way to dress a turkey sandwich.

Marmite: Now that's an acquired taste! Used to work with a gal raised in Britain that put that on almost everything. I bought a small jar and wasn't able to use anywhere near half before it went off date.

Lots of stuff has Marmite-like yeast extract in it, but straight Marmite is powerful stuff.

Dukes is the stuff, no doubt. Miracle whip is, as someone said, a different thing altogether than mayo. I found the Kraft olive oil mayo similar to MW, useful on the same stuff, and half the calories.

Nah. I'm sure it tastes pretty much like mayonnaise.
Hope to be in NC in march. Maybe I'll look for it then.

simply put Dukes goes a little heavier on the egg yolks and vinegar. You can pretty much make it your self!!

It was born 10 minutes down the road here in Greenville! Who knew it would be the hit it is now?

Or just order on Amazon, Target or Walmart!!
