Fully restored, not sure by whom.

Barrel Flats, Barrels and Splinter forearm are serial number correct.

During restore the barrels were professionally cut to 26-3/4" and likely re blued, barrel key remains, brass bead, one small blem on rib, shown in picture.

Barrels stamped 3 weight and measure out to Mod/Imp Mod.

Chambered for 2-3/4" shells.

Wood likely refinished but period correct with oil finish.

A grade grain in stock, pretty but nothing crazy.

Little case color left.

Lop 14" with nice recoil pad.

DAH 3"

DAH 1-3/4"

Lever right of center.

Locks up vault tight.

No rattle or play in fore end.

No wood cracks etc.

Trigger smooth, with no grit and good smooth pull through and weight.

Shoots perfect, swings great especially for thicker cover with the shortened barrels.

$1750 shipped to your FFL or pick up near Chas, SC.

*NOTE: Engraving is far better than my phone cam will pick up.. last picture especially does the action and its engraving zero justice.

Interested yes, but $1750 for a chopped unknown restoration, I'd have to know more.

As in: How can a gun cut anywhere from 1.25 to 3.25" have any choke at all ?

Because it's been measured - "Barrels stamped 3 weight and measure out to Mod/Imp Mod. "

You do have retard nailed nicely.

Check out Woolrich's other posts, you'll get the idea...

I assume that the "measure out to Mod/Imp Mod" comment is the current barrel set (at 26 3/4 inch). However, as you probably know, patterning is the only way to tell what percentage a barrel will throw with a particular shell. I can easily get skeet, quarter or modified patterns from an individual choke constriction just by changing the ammunition.

Hear what your saying. Were it not for the multiple projects going at this point this shotgun would have my interest. Love SXS shotguns!

The original barrels were likely XFxF, and were 28" ..

It throws a very nice pattern as I tested out and hunted with some low brass sevens taking both woodcock and quail afterwards.

I wouldn't be selling if I hadn't picked up a B grade.

I am willing to negotiate a little bit as well.

I know the barrel cuts lower the value but if it weren't for the cut (which still has key in place) It would easily bring in the 2500 range. Barrel stamps are from the factory and as noted #3 weight. I should mention that the barrels swing well and it retains a perfect balance during swing and comes to shoulder perfectly and smooth.

I have allowed for devalue due to the barrels and for the light dings on the rib shown in picture. I assure everyone that this a very nice rig. As with most rigs and my poor camera phone it certainly looks better in person.

It locks up vault tight, no wiggle anywhere period, lever right of center etc etc.

Ask away.

Need it gone, if you have a reasonable offer.
