There's been talk and emailings of him being drafted for a senate run. We need a man with his integrity in The Swamp. Unfortunately he'll be hard to replace in Milwaukee.
Worked with Clarke for awhile prior to him being appointed Sheriff. Really a different guy. While some of the radical black guys were wearing Malcolm X stuff, he wore blue contact lenses and listened to Black Sabbath, which drove them nuts. Was never shy about voicing his opinions, which didn't make him a favorite with bosses. As a boss, he was fair, open, and engaged with his troops.
Wish him the best in whatever he chooses to pursue.
Hopefully he will continue to make the left crazy, nothing strike fear into Democrats like a Conservative black man, as some of the comments by Milwaukee Democrats as shown in the below link illustrate. .

I've always liked him. One of the smartest men I've ever heard. Now I like him even more! GREAT taste in music!
"After years of abuse at his hands, the people of Milwaukee can sleep soundly tonight," state Sen. Lena Taylor, a Democrat from Milwaukee and a frequent Clarke critic, said in a statement.
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”
