Every 5k or so. Whatever oil advance auto has in sale at the time. The 5qts + filter for $21 deal.

Got a Camry a year ago, and Toyota spec'd 10K intervals on fully synthetic 0W-20. My mechanic shared my skepticism, and suggested I go 7,500, which is what I was thinking, anyway.

I'm sure I'll get laughed at by the "25K and Blackstone samples every time" guys, as well as the, "3K, 'cause oil's too cheap compared to a new engine" guys. Like everything else, I'm the only one I worry about pleasing.

And for the record, I'm sick of hearing how, "there's a ton of good information at BITOG." That place is a 1,000 times worse than the ".270 vs .30-06" threads here.

Every 10K in the Tundra with factory recommended synthetic and every 7,500 in the old Sable with a synthetic blend. We put around 30K per year on each of our vehicles, so that adds up to three changes annually for the pickup and four for the Sable.

I change my vehicles oil every 6000 miles. The one exception is my hunting and knock around truck, a 2000 Ford Ranger that I bought new. It has 193,000 miles on it, and I drive it maybe a 1000 miles a year, usually less. I change it yearly. I change oil in my lawnmower twice seasonally, and change the oil in my tractors once a year. I usually change tractor oil every 300 hours, but rarely put that on them anymore.

I let the car tell me. If it leaks or burns oil as my two vehicles do (both over 200k Mi) I do 3k religiously.

If I had a much lower mileage vehicle that held oil I'd go synthetic every 10k.

I wouldn't be worried about the 6 month time length. That sounds like a scare tactic reminder to people who can't keep track of miles.

My old Ford 6.0 gets 15W-40 Rotella in the summer and the 5W40 synthetic during the winter. Same for our loader tractors.

About once a year, which is around 5 to 10k miles depending on the vehicle. Doing an oil analysis on my rigs as I change and using that to guide my replacement intervals.

I just don't trust those little oil filters to last that long. 6k for me.

Synthetic oil at 10K. A new filter every 5K. That is probably conservative, lots of cars/trucks still going strong with 400,000 miles on the engine using that interval.

Tacoma every 5K, whatever dino oil the shop buys cheap.

The Detroit 60 series, regular ole dyno oil, whatever the shop buys cheap. Of course, it holds 13 gallons....... then again, it has 1.2 million miles on it.
