What power Leupold scope 2X or 4X EER would serve best on Ruger .44 Magnum?

I really like the 2X better, better field of view, easier to hold steady-not really just looks that way. If you are shooting at running game it is much better. 'For target work off a bench I would go for the 4X. I use a scope on a Ruger SBH 44 mag for deer and hogs--2X I have one on a MKII for squirrel Burris 3X. Anschutz Exempler 22LR has a Burris 2-7--targets

2x will be the easiest to use, and on large-game is likely all you'll need. For smaller targets farther away I like the 4x, but it is noticeably slower to use than the 2x.

Thanks, I really am glad to get some experienced views before I buy a scope.

Another vote for 2X.
More field of view, less apparent shake, better eyebox.

2x
Actually, for a revolver, I'd prefer a 1x, which no one makes now. An Aimpoint is perfect, and lets you make hits to 100 at least.
