Can't say as I blame her. The realization must have hit her hard.  Rosie O’Donnell’s ex-wife, Michelle Rounds, died at her home Monday of an apparent suicide … sources tell TMZ.
Rosie tells TMZ … “I am saddened to hear about this terrible tragedy. Mental illness is a very serious issue affecting many families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle’s family, her wife and their child.”
Rosie and Michelle started dating in 2011 and got married in a private ceremony in June 2012. They broke up in November 2014 and Rosie filed for divorce in February 2015.
Rosie cited irretrievably broken relationship as the reason for the divorce, which became final in March 2016. Seven months after they married, Rosie and Michelle adopted their daughter, Dakota, who is now 4 years old.
Michelle’s mom posted a statement, “… If anyone would like to give to the National Suicide Prevention it would also be greatly appreciated. There are so many out there in this world that have demons that they think suicide is the only way out …”
Michelle was 46.

And ol' Rosie doesn't get along well with her adopted children either: In August 2015, O'Donnell tweeted that her 17-year-old daughter, Chelsea, had gone missing from their Nyack, New York, home along with her therapy dog, Bear. Chelsea, who O'Donnell said suffered from mental illness, was found a week later in Barnegat, New Jersey, with a 25-year-old man she met on Tinder. In a paid interview with the Daily Mail, Chelsea claimed that O'Donnell had kicked her out of the house and smoked marijuana in the home. Although it seemed like they reconciled, Chelsea revealed in an interview that they had another falling out and are not on speaking terms. Folks in relationships with O'Donnell seem to have a pattern of mental health problems. Hmmm.....

Homosexuality and mental illness. Hmm... That's an interesting subject. The American Psychiatric Association had homosexuality as a mental disorder in their Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) until the '70's. The current DSM V does not list it as such. Just shows how powerful P.C. has become. Don't be surprised if homophobia becomes a mental disorder and those so afflicted sent to a gulag for "re-education". Sound familiar..?? It's all for your own good, of course and the good of the collective to which you belong. Without absolutes, everything is a slippery slope. DF
