This is a lot harder than one can imagine. The little guy has this angel aura about him, not that all kids don't, but his is different. It is very hard to think that in approximately 4 months if nothing can be done that he may not be with us any more. Damn hard to take!!!

Still no word from the Boston Hospital. And now little Gabriel is starting to complain about is stomach hurting.

Update:
They are taking Gabriel back to the hospital today for blood tests and they want to do a biopsy on one of the tumors that looks malignant. Blood tests I understand, but a biopsy on "a" tumor that maybe malignant? Why? They have said that if they cannot operate and remove the tumors he has maybe 4 months. By there admission, they are unable to operate, so why torture the poor guy. Why not find someone or somewhere that has the skills to operate? So, so frustrating.

Little Gabriel looks to be a very sweet and happy boy - right now he has no way to know how different his life is nor the huge challenges he faces as a mere child. May his innocence and youthful energy serve him well. Certainly Gabriel and his parents/family will be in my prayers.

My grandson was born with a genetic disease called Proteus Syndrome. It is extremely rare and is not curable. He has been in and out of hospitals since he was born 2 years ago and is now back in at the University of North Carolina childrens hospital awaiting surgery to remove more tumors around his spine and gut area. He has already had some of his toes cut off and still started walking first with one cast on his feet, then with 2 casts, then with no casts, then again with another cast. So , so sad to see this and to have my daughter and her husband go through this. She did start a page on Facebook for any that are interested, called "Gabriels Journey". Here's a link............ Gabriels Journey and another link.......... Gabriel Mason I am not one for posting family issues or troubles, but Gabriel could sure use some prayers or at least positive energy. Thank you, Jim Will pray for Gabriel and your family as well. He sure looks like a sweetheart and is quite a trooper!!
