Got the book by Fred Zeglin and enjoyed it.
Some things were learned that were interesting about his early life and times.
The parts about his way with loading and case design were known but was a good read.
Nice addition to the library.

PO ackley was an interesting guy.....he really told it how it was....tested lots of bullets on. Real animals (wild burros)...remember he was a big 17 fan and 220 swift...hydronic shock.......blew up a lot of guns on purpose to see how hot of loads they would take...

I graduated from the gunsmithing program at Trinidad State Junior College that Ackley established. At that time circa 1975-78 the old Ackley shop still stood on one of the highways out of Trinidad.
