The good folks in the Islands cannot catch a break.
They're telling all on the Virgin Islands and surrounding areas (PR) to get out NOW! Not sure how they are expected to do so. Forecast says landfall as Cat 4 with 135+mph winds!
I shudder to even think of the ominous conditions they will have to shelter in this time and pray for all of those effected. Again!!

Just put my FIL on a plane to go home to Orlando. Hope I didn't do that too soon.

I really feel for the people in the islands. The US and British V.I. got creamed by Irma with winds around 185 mph.

I am in Puerto Rico doing medical work after Irma. We have chosen to ride out Maria in our hotel. All of the other Response groups except for a small overhead team and some national guard folks have fled. I've been at this game a long time but if we leave these people who were flown from the islands after Irma have no help so we are staying.
It looks ugly so say a prayer for all of us.

I really feel for the people in the islands. The US and British V.I. got creamed by Irma with winds around 185 mph. Were any normal structures left standing? Did many leave the islands before it hit. Did many die? How did the survivors do it.
