We got this in to reblue refinish and need to take it apart. It is a beast and cannot find any schematic in any of our books or on line. appreciate any info.

About halfway down this page is a diagram of 3 of the variations. If it doesn't have an external hammer, it may have either an internal hammer or a striker. IIRC, one pin indicates striker. I haven't had one in years.

That was me with the three version badmouthing the 219D.

I bought a bunch more Sav 219s since then, and none of them are Ds.

I've never had 219D but do have a 220D and it is rough as a cob outside. But it works and should be a good truck/boat gun. I prefer the 219B and even earlier models, tho.

In Savages in general, earlier is better if you consider finish only--finish deteriorated steadily from 1930s up to the introduction of the 110 series. Then it got better for a while until they started using plastic parts.
