Anyone out there in Savage-collector land have any tang-mount peep sights for sale? If they were Canadian it would be even better, but I'm willing to look at stuff from the 'lower 48' so that I don't have to go D&T my rifle....

Marbles still makes a new one in case you can't find vintage.. runs $120'ish US. I like the vintage ones, but a new Marbles is far ahead of having to d&t.

Welcome to the forum! What rifle you looking to put it on?

There's usually at least a half dozen or so on eBay at any one time but the going rate hovers around $100 or higher it seems for one that is 100% operational.

I have some extra peeps for tang mounts. What rifle do you need it for? (There are a lot of differences).

I have an un-D&T 1949 Savage 99 EG that currently only has the semi-buckhorn rear that it came from the factory with. It's fine for 50 yards, but I would like to shoot a little further comfortably. Do you have a peep that could mount to this rifle? Thanks in advance, StHubert

I'd be looking for a Redfiled 70LH or a Lyman 57SA receiver sight if I were you, it's windage adjustable as well where as the tang sights usually aren't.

But do you have any?
Being new to 99's specifically, and peep sights (outside of military rifles) generally, I have just resolved to find a non-modern scope solution for my rifle, and need the help of pictures and specifics, if possible.

Looking over the Marbles specs, they say that they have a peep product # 009840 to fit a Savage 1899. Will this same sight mount to my 1949 99 EG without any modifications? Help!
