Just some humor in the middle of this display of immaturity at many levels. For Trump, he's likely doing a calculated nose-lead on the media and news cycle. This has become far more important at the news desk than either Russia or NorK. The whole thing is a tempest in a teapot. But I believe the NFL leadership has choreographed most of this spectacle during the anthem, for calculated political reasons.

It started years ago when Bob Costas thought he could get the weak brained in the NFL to turn againt their own Constitution in the case of the 2A. Trying to get the PC politics in football was his baby from his perceived genius idea born of his stupidity.
Once again the Pro AA football jocks were too stupid to realize they were again being charmed and suckered by a pied piper.

I see you are from Iowa, a blue collar, patriotic, predominately white state, as are the other swing states. Trump is always one step ahead. Its all about votes.

I attribute this to gross ignorance and ingratitude on the part of these players, predominantly black, but this includes some coaches (namely, of the Steelers) and apparently the whole NFL.
Apparently, they -- the players and others -- are ignorant of the history of slavery and that it actually was our founding fathers and others in the West who saw the moral bankruptcy of the slavery institution and sought to change it.
Do they understand that this is an almost exclusively an American game for which they are paid multiple millions of dollars and that this nation has done more for black civil rights and their advancement in society than almost any other nation? Name one that has done more. Would they rather be cooking a goat at night over a fire in Ghana?
As to the NFL commissioner and some coaches and owners who propagate this insanity, they are the usual suspects in liberalism's inanity.
Those in the kitchen buttering their bread are leaving, including me.
