I really like the VX2's...2-7, 3-9 or 4-12 now that the 3-9 Conquest is no longer made.

VX3 3.5 X 10 or 4.5 X 14. And I prefer the CDS versions.

Take a peek at what GPO has to offer. If you purchase one and do not like it or agree it is a great scope for the $$$ we will take it back. Through next week we are also running a gift card promo with GPO's https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...tics-promotion-limited-time#Post12286553

A second vote for the Leupold 6 by 36mm. These have quite a long mounting span and are very nice scopes. I think if you watch Opticsplanet.com has special sales of 10 or 11% extra off their wholesale price so you can pick up a new one during these sales for about $275. I've used them for years and always been happy with their selection. Good luck in your pursuit....

That is a good choice. However, I would caution you to check it thoroughly upon receipt and verify the serial no# with Leupold. There are a lot of Leupold counterfeits out there on eBay.

Buying a scope on Ebay is like finding a brain surgeon on Craig's List.

Bought several rifle scopes off Ebay from established reputable sellers without a hitch. Due diligence.

I've bought and sold scopes on Ebay with absolutely no problems at all. Found some DAMN good deals too..... wink

Here's one of my last ones, which is a harder to find model: Nikon monarch UCC:

Will do. The seller has a 100% rating with 20k+ transactions so I felt pretty good that I am getting the real deal. I'll definitely call them to verify though.

Ssramage: I would go with whats on one of my 25/06's - the Leupold 4.5x14 with adjustable objective and fine Du-Plex crosshairs.
VERY hard to find anything this great scope doesn't do - at least I haven't been able to find anything it can't do.

Probably a bunch scopes that will work fine. I just put a SWFA SS 6X on my rifle and it's going on its first hunt here shortly. After my initial shooting and pointing in the woods getting a feel for it, I have to say I'm pleased. It is a little heavy, but on a flyweight rifle the resulting package is still pleasant. Clarity and light gathering seem quite good. I think the reticle will work. I'd prefer the thick portion come in a little closer, but honestly it does seem to be working fine even when pointing in dark woods.

I put a $200 classifieds 6x42 M8 on my B78 two bit and never looked back. Seems to work just fine.
