True.

I have a about a 10lb scope around my beltline currently.............

But it's still different than carrying an extra pound on a strap all day long.

The difference between a 20oz bino vs a 30 oz bino around my neck is quite noticeable too...........

A 10 pound scope ain't nothing. I've developed an optics factory lately!

I put a 3-15 swfa on my m77 2506. It replaced a 4.5-14 vxiii Gun weighs 8.25 no glass. Ive never been concerned with weight. It also wears a harrias bipod.
The 14 power served me well but isnt a very good long range glass.

The swfa has transformed the 2506 into deadly killing machine. I cant go back to a scope without knobs again.

I also picked up a sig kilo 2000 range finder. Have spent this year killing rocks chucks dogs wabbits at ranges id of never thought possible. I wasnt easy on the scope either its spent time with my kids feet on it as they sit in back seat of the truck.

For price i dont think they can be beat.

My kids are getting ready to be of hunting age. Ill set 243 or 260 maybe 6.5 creed with a 6x42swfa for them. Probly sps 260 so i dont have so many difrent bulletts

I think that .260 option would be great. Another plus is that there is a ton of .308 brass available. I love my .260 and it is my go-to rifle.

My Tract Tekoa weighs just a bit under the SS, but is somewhat more hunter-friendly with the 3-12 variable power and the excellent Tplex reticle, plus the low-profile turrets. Of course if it takes a dive, all that won't mean spit. So far, so good. It's no scope for shooting across fjords, with 50 moa of adjustment, but fjords are pretty scarce around these parts.

The weight is okay, since the rifle is pretty light, and the balance is fine too. I do wish it were shorter, but that's a minor point if it continues to perform. I ran a mini box test on it today and it ended up where it started and passed the power-change poi test too.

Haven't had my 6x SS afield yet, so I can't comment on the visibility of the MQ in bad light. It's already my favorite for the range though. Amazing bargain.

No fjords where I hunt either. Even 10x is more than i need hunting.
