Big thanks to Pullit and Reloader7RM for all the help. 1 5/8oz of #9 TSS 19g/cc put 319 pellets inside a 10" circle and 257 inside the 20" circle at a lasered 40yds. 20ga Rem 870 youth with a factory Super Full choke, Burris FastFire III red dot. The shot blew through the 1/2" OSB target board to boot.

I keep reading about those yout 870s here...
Are they factory tapping them now? Or whats the cost of the work?
Other than that, How was the show Mrs. Lincoln?

This is an express, probably the cheapest 870 made. They don't come tapped-pullit was kind enough to drill and tap both this shotgun and a Benelli (that I haven't patterened yet) No idea what a smith would charge but it's a job you want to have done correctly.

Man that pattern is as strong as a garlic milkshake.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Good deal on the killer pattern, love the TSS. We killed 9 long beards last year with our 20ga's and TSS #9. Guessing my 12ga's will never hunt again.
Don't gobble at me

As turkey season is on the horizon (I can't see it but I know it's out there..) thought I'd bump this up. There is 19gcc TSS available in classifieds at the moment from Reloader7RM if anyone is interested.

My turkey hunting buddy and I went squirrel hunting yesterday, I took the 20ga (using #6 lead) to get a feel for the shotgun and the optics. It did great, I like it a lot-looking forward to trying it out on turkeys. Old school squirrel hunt with a twist

Looks like y'all had a good hunt. Shooting thru OSB at 40 is deadly...... That should perforate Old Toms head and neck perfectly.

That looks like a pile of fun. My boy is itching to chase tree rats again, but we keep getting rain.
