I can see those Barnes bullets have a good plateform to work from. By the way have you tried the 750 yrd poke yet, and how many shots did it take?
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

The rifle looks good and darn good off hand shooting. So the increase is something like 3.5%?

Might just be the picture, but the formed case shoulder don't look right to me.. The 06 Ackley ought to be the end all as far as a killing machine is concerned.. Would like to see the results if you take some time working up a load and giving it a better rest, ect.. With the time and money you have in them, it don't seem you ring them out to see what they are capable of.. IMO..

I'd be curious to know the real deal, on difference in case volume before/after. I've heard only 1.5gr, but hard to believe that. If you measure water capacity, before/after don't be shy about posting the results. MM, here is data I collected and posted in a related thread last Dec. I weighed the cases with water level to case mouth. Here's the poop on cartridges fired in my rifles. The 06 cases were fired in my Win 670. I filled em with water and weighed them today. Then resized and loaded them for fireforming with 45 gr of 3031 and a 165 Speer FB bullet in my 06 dies.
I weighed the empty cases after fireforming and then filled them with water and weighed them again.
When I had this Mauser built, I had the mag lengthened to accept a COAL of 3.510 inches (vs the standard 3.34 inches) and throated accordingly. This change allows for an increased internal volume of 3.25 gr water behind the seated bullet, which is apparently more volume increase than I got from AI'ing the chamber.
Brass....empty weight ......06 w/ water...AI w/ water... increase
Fed ..... 189.0 gr ........... 260.3 gr ........... 261.8 gr .... 1.5 gr
R-P ..... 201.0 gr ........... 269.0 gr ............ 272.3 gr .... 3.3 gr
W-W ... 193.0 gr ........... 263.0 gr ............ 265.5 gr .... 2.5 gr
LC 69 ... 198.5 gr ........... 267.8 gr ............ 269.9 gr .... 2.2 gr
Steelhead, I sure do like that sea foam stock. And I only wish I could drop five or six rounds into a cluster that tight from offhand. Ten years ago I did well enough to avoid embarrassing myself with the Garand at the DCM shoots. But it's MPAJ or bipoded for me all the way these days.

I weighed some new unfired Winchester brass and got 69 grains of water capacity.
