I did this to two scopes last night:
1) Leupold 120617 vx2 rimfire EFR CDS 3x9x33
2) Leupold VX-3 CDS Rifle Scope - 3.5-10x40mm Wind-Plex Reticle Matte

I am replacing the three wimpy 0.050" Allen 4-40 set screws in each of the Leupold CDS turret with 8-18 Stainless 4-40 screws with a T-10 torx head.

The 0.050" Allens are known to strip out the Allen hole. Two years ago my brother's used CDS scope had a turret get loose after we sighted it in. We had to sight it in again. Gotta have the screws tight enough to stand up to turret twisting.

I did not replace the screws in the newer design Leupolds that have 0.062" Allen, like the VX6-HD scopes.
